Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park
Now in its seventh year, Winter Wonderland has everything you could ever want and crave at a Christmas market, becoming a favourite in many Londoners’ calendars. There are over 100 fairground rides, 200 Bavarian-style wooden chalets selling mulled wine and beer or all sorts of Christmas gifts, a breath-taking Ice Kingdom, circus shows, a giant wheel and, let’s not forget, the UK’s largest skating rink. At Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, every day feels like Christmas, its themed bars, cafes, restaurants, street food and cheerful live music, will keep you festive from 10am to 10pm!

Southbank Centre Winter Market
Clustered along the riverbank between Waterloo Bridge and the London Eye, Southbank’s annual Christmas market returns as part of the Southbank’s Winter Festival, an award-winning entertainment hub for all ages. Its wooden chalets are filled with festive food, drinks, gifts and treats. It’s a great market to visit at night, strolling on the riverside at this time of year is one of the best free things you can do in London, thanks to this pretty market on the pedestrian promenade.

East London’s answer to Winter Wonderland is taking over Victoria Park for a second edition this winter. Winterville brings together a number of classic Christmas season favourites, including an ice rink, crazy golf, a Santa’s Grotto, a fairground and its burlesque Christmas market, Bizarre Bazaar, a realm of curious artists showing and selling their vintage goods. An enchanted forest created by Backyard Cinema named The Winter Night Garden, accessed only via a secret tunnel, will be showcasing classic films such as Love Actually, The Muppet Christmas and Elf.

Christmas market at Tate Modern
This Christmas, from the 9th December to the 23rd December, the space between the Tate Modern and the Thames will be packed with cosy wooden chalets full of handmade toys, jewellery and decorations, as well as bratwurst, crêpes, roasted nuts or a warming cup of glühwein. Islington Christmas Market
An iconic Christmas event sin 2012, the Islington Christmas Market is back just in time for the 2015 Christmas shopping rush. The market, held outside Islington Green, includes over 70 handpicked exhibitors from all over the UK, bringing a refreshing alternative to Christmas gift shopping – fresh food stalls and Santa’s grotto are complementary attractions to this alternative Christmas market.
