Are you finding it difficult to keep a clear mind? Feeling guilty because you’re thinking about your next holidays when you should be focusing on other things like work? Do you look through the window every five minutes and imagine yourself sunbathing under a palm tree? Recognise these symptoms? Well, you’re probably suffering a bout of pre-vacation syndrome, and the best cure is a weekend getaway.

No more than two hours away from London, nestling in Bournemouth’s fashionable Soho quarter, you will find the Chocolate Boutique Hotel, the perfect place to unwind. Here, you’ll find a warm, friendly welcome, cosy rooms and chocolate galore, just five minutes away from Bournemouth’s beach and city centre. The staff are incredibly accommodating, friendly and very helpful, always ensuring that you enjoy your stay.

In this Grade II listed, stucco-fronted hotel everything is about chocolate. Breakfast is amazing, especially when you’re feeling a bit tender after a heavy night! Fruit, cereal or exquisite patisserie with all the trimmings and, of course, the delicious chocolate pancakes, one of the chef’s specialties. If you’re a chocoholic you’ll simply love this little corner of sweet happiness; there are endless chocolate delights in every room, which are all chocolate-themed  and well kept.

The hotel owner, a man with an evident passion for chocolate, offers chocolate making classes, where you’ll sip chocolate cocktails, dip strawberries and marshmallows into cascading chocolate fountains and experience the fun and laughter of a chocolate workshop. As he rightly says, “sometimes eating chocolate is just not enough”. At the end of the session, each participant will have had produced around 40 professional-looking truffles, coated in nuts, cocoa powder, icing sugar or coconut, and wrapped in cellophane, topped with ribbons.

As Oscar Wilde said, “the only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it”, so indulge your passion for chocolate with a chocolate-making weekend, release some endorphins and get that “feel good” factor.

Want to taste for yourself? The Chocolate Boutique Hotel’s Chocolate weekends cost from £259 per person based on two people sharing a room, you have no excuse. Plus, you can stuff your face with truffles and chocolate delicacies on your homeward journey!
