Not Another Salon.
One of the coolest and most colourful salons recently opened its doors in East London.
If you’re sick and tired of conventional salons, bored of regular blow dries and are yearning for a fresh outlook on hair and colour, we’ve found your perfect antidote. Not Another Salon has recently its doors in the heart of wacky Shoreditch on Brick Lane. If you’re looking to brighten up your look and treat yourself to a splash of colour this spring, then this is the place for you.
Founded by Sophia Hilton, the former educator at Brookes & Brookes and winner of L’Oreal Colour Trophy and British Newcomer at the British Hairdressing Awards in 2013, this creative hub has brought together some of the most talented stylists. Its refreshing anti-factory ethos and “no judgement policy” means that the environment is hip and vibrant, with an edgy coolness to it.
The interior is fun and quirky, with many elements of retro décor, like a Smeg fridge, a striped black and white floor and a candy stand, which takes away the intimidation one sometimes gets when stepping into a posh West London salon. The 1960’s style waiting room even has play-doh for clients to play with while waiting for a turn at sprucing up their hair colour.
As far as colour goes, Not Another Salon takes it one step further with the use of Innoluxe ReBond, an oil that you put into colour using a syringe. The advanced blend of exceptionally low weight proteins stops the breakage of the bonds in hair and stops the damage. It rebuilds and strengthens hair, repairing and restoring to maximum effect during the colouring process.
Sophia Hilton and the team have done a stellar job at creating a unique salon experience, from the large selection of 90s childhood drinks and the secret playroom, to the trendy décor and the team’s attention to detail, which does not go unnoticed.
